Hodge Podge of Life at TRS

Thanks to Edith Phoa who took these photos in February, 2010. I have just been lax about uploading them to the blog. As you can see the entrance to TRS has changed from that distinctive arch to the gate below.

This looks like a waiting area for students. Also looks like there is a fence around the school property.

The arch at the entrance is gone ... now it is just a gate

The hall ... needs a coat of paint!

A view of the hall from the basketball court. Didn't we use to play badminton here?

Our Form Five classrooms ... we used to hang out in the corridors
during breaks and before class.

This is certainly not the beach I remember.

I guess it's the Monsoon season and that is why the water is so
high on the beach. It looks awfully dirty. I remember we rode
our bikes on the sand. I learned to drive on this beach!

As the reunions happen and people exchange stories and experiences of those years at TRS, there will be laughter and tears and memories shared, but they will never be enough pictures to capture those times. Below are just a few to remind us of those days.
I don't even know if this entrance is still there

  1. These black and white pictures bring back memories of the yester years. Wonder where the that pic of the five of you were taken and could be after we all left Form 5? I don't remember about the governor's visit and I did not take the time to see if the entrance is still the same. I miss the good old days of 3RS and surely it bring tears to the eyes and now trying to recall those memories and getting in touch with our past.

  2. Those pictures were taken in 1976 on TRS grounds by one of our classmates. I just don't remember who it was. Who knows he may recognize his handiwork and post a message.

    1. A bit late but I hope you did well on your SPM! Friendships transcend distance and time, and when you get together again, it is as if you had just left each other yesterday. I hope you made friendships at TRS that will follow you for the rest of your life.
